Casual Dress: Day to Night

It is no surprise that I like getting a good bang for my buck and making the most of my closet. I am a big believer in buying pieces that you can style multiple ways ultimately making your wardrobe go further. Today I am showing you how easy it is to take a casual dress from day to night by simply switching out a few pieces.

DAY

This dress from Milk & Honey Boutique is a warm weather closet staple. Since it can still be a little chilly out, I wore a light green button down shirt open over the dress. I think it looks even cuter with the shirt tied around your waist for an extra casual vibe. Since this is a day look I went with flat booties and a fringe bag but added some silver statement jewelry.

*Now this is the super easy part! To go from day to night all you have to do is swap a few pieces!*

NIGHT

Lose the button down and throw on a moto jacket. I love this light pink one from Forever 21 because of its pretty pastel color and how it looks against black and white. I took off the statement jewelry and added a long chained black onyx arrowhead pendant necklace from Boy Cherie (you can still use code TFHLOVESBC for 20% off your purchase!!). I think the most important and effective way of taking a look from day to night is your shoes. A pair of stappy heeled sandals like these from DSW finish the look and make you ready for an evening out!
