Hilton Anatole Valentine’s Day Staycation

With Valentine’s Day less than two weeks away, many people are starting to organize their plans for the big day (it does fall on a weekend this year after all). My husband and I tend to keep it pretty laid back on Valentine’s Day (he’s more of a “show your love year round” kind of guy) and typically order in Thai food and binge on our latest Netflix obsession (we just finished Narcos and Making A Murderer so please comment if you have any suggestions!). Whether you want to go out or prefer to stay in, I have the perfect solution for you: STAYCATION. A staycation has the appeal of “getting away” with your significant other without the price tag of actually flying somewhere. My husband and I recently had the opportunity to have a little pre-Valentine’s Day staycation of our own at the Hilton Anatole here in Dallas and I am already wanting to plan our next stay! Here is what you can expect at the Hilton Anatole for your Valentine’s weekend staycation…

We checked in Friday evening to our beautiful suite on the 16th floor with incredible views of Dallas. After freshening up, we headed to our dinner reservation at SER, the upscale steakhouse located on the top floor of the Hilton Anatole. Not only was the food and service fantastic, the view of Dallas lit up at night is breathtaking thanks to their floor to ceiling windows. The mood of the restaurant was perfectly set with the dim lighting and live piano player in the lounge. One of the Valentine’s Day packages offered includes a $100 food and beverage credit that can be used at SER so it’s almost like you’re dining for free when you book! Major score. The menu they’ve prepared for Valentine’s weekend will literally make your mouth water and if you make it in early enough, they have a large happy hour menu Wednesday-Friday from 4-6pm!

When we got back to our room we were greeted with a beautiful display of chocolate truffles and chocolate covered martini glasses with two cocktails ready to be poured in. This chocolate lover was in heaven (if you follow me on snapchat you know I sampled every one of them #noshame).

We woke up the next morning to probably my favorite part of our stay, breakfast in bed. Call me crazy but I feel like nothing screams vacation more than getting room service in the morning. Drinking coffee in bed with that view was just perfect and the food was delicious (especially that quiche!).

While I could have stayed in bed for hours, we had a couples massage booked at the V Spa downstairs calling our name. We did the express massage (25 minutes) and utilized the spa’s facilities like the eucalyptus room, sauna, and jacuzzi. It was such a relaxing day and once again the staff was wonderful. I was amazed at how large the grounds were and could not be more excited that they are building a resort-style, upscale pool that will be opening this summer (stay tuned for more on that!).

A little piece of the Berlin Wall here in Dallas. Pretty incredible!

As hard as it was to leave, we said our goodbyes (Ross style for you Friends fans out there) and left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

I am all about getting a good deal without sacrificing quality but I was truly blown away with this hotel’s amenities and service. Feb. 12-14th rates start at $229/night plus when you book the “Anatole Romance” package, you’ll get $100 Food and Beverage credit (including SER!). For that weekend only, there are two sexy “Breakfast in Bed” options: the classic American Breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco for $99+ or kick it up a notch with heart-shaped red velvet pancakes (I mean yum and it’s Valentine’s Day, you have to), choice of eggs, and a bottle of Pierrier-Jouet Champagne ($125+) all of course delivered right to your door via room service.

So what are you waiting for? You can book your stay at the Hilton Anatole on their website HERE! And if you need a little help with what to wear, be sure to shop my Valentine’s Day picks!

Staycations are the best! Something about breakfast in bed makes everything right in the world. This might have to be my next hotel. I do them quite often with the boyfriend.
