A few weekends ago my husband and I drove south to Austin and spent a couple of nights at the beautifully hip South Congress Hotel. If you’re not familiar with Austin, South Congress is one of the most popular areas to visit because the street is lined with great restaurants, cute coffee shops, a food truck park and one-of-a-kind stores. I love being able to walk out of my hotel and not have to get in a car. At South Congress Hotel, you literally step outside and you are in the heart of Austin. Not to mention the hotel itself has an incredible lobby bar, the cutest coffee shop, a killer brunch spot plus two other restaurants that were always full. So if you don’t want to leave the hotel, you really don’t have to. Here’s a look at our stay and what you can expect when staying at the South Congress Hotel…
The Hotel
The Room
Lobby Bar
Manana Coffee Shop
I had the most incredible everything bagel cream cheese KOLACHE here. Yes, it was as amazing as it sounds.
Café No Se
The most adorable little brunch spot you ever did see. I love everything about this place and the ricotta pancakes are a MUST!
Central Standard
The prettiest deviled eggs, huevos rancheros and polenta with eggs, fried oysters and speck are just a few of the incredible dishes served during brunch.
Do you see what I mean now when I say you really don’t have to leave the hotel? If you find yourself planning a trip to Austin, you can book your stay with South Congress Hotel here. Make sure to bookmark this page for the future and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
*They are currently running a Valentine’s Day package for every Friday and Saturday night in February with a $50 credit toward brunch for two at Café No Sé, champagne on ice and an assortment of decadent macarons from Executive Pastry Chef Amanda Rockman will be waiting in your room when you arrive. Sounds like the perfect romantic weekend (or girls weekend!) to me!
