I don’t know about y’all, but I feel like Forever 21 has had some really cute clothes lately. I usually get a little overwhelmed when I walk in because it is SO BIG and there is SO MUCH crammed in to every square inch of the store. I would much rather shop in stores where I can really SEE all of the clothes and not have to dig through jam-packed racks or leave with a headache. But it’s not always that easy for us bargain shoppers now is it? 🙂
The digging definitely paid off for this bargainista as every piece I am wearing from Forever 21 today is under $14! I fell in love with how warm and cozy this cream sweater is and tried to find it in more colors once I saw how affordable it was. I found a beautiful statement necklace that would go perfectly with the sweater and many other pieces in my closet. I knew I would want to wear the sweater/statement necklace combo with the pair of forest green leggings I found for under $4 but the sweater wasn’t quite long enough to you know, cover certain areas… so I layered a crochet tunic I already owned underneath. Which brings me to my rules about wearing leggings:
THE LAWS OF LEGGINGS
1. Leggings are not pants. If leggings were pants, they would be called pants.
2. Cover your crotch. No one wants to see that.
3. Never wear nude leggings. You will freak people out.
I know I am not alone with the number of women I see wearing leggings as pants i.e. breaking rules #1 and #2 There is even a facebook page with 350,000+ followers dedicated to rule #1. No matter what your size is, how skinny your legs are, or even if you have a “thigh gap”, you must follow rule #2. Again, no one wants to see that. And if for whatever reason you do own nude leggings, please go burn them. Don’t even donate them. Burn them. No one else needs to suffer from your poor choices.

So be honest, have you broken any of these rules? Do you disagree with these rules? Let me know what you think! And in case you’ve already forgotten…

Yes, I totally agree with the leggings rules. Leggings are not to be substituted for pants or jeans…Just wear pants! I mean, yes, its ok once in a while to wear them you want to feel comfortable but for every day use? no. just no. Love the look btw.

I completely agree! And thank you for reading!! 🙂
Where can you find Tunics that are long? I have several Sweaters that I wear Leggings with but they are too short so I need something long to wear under them but I don’t know where to find long Tunics or shirts. Thanks
Hi Erin! I have found that stores like H&M and Forever 21 willy carry basics like long tanks for really cheap. I also like the long tanks that are made of spandex material and have found those at little local boutiques and TJ Maxx (also very affordable!). I hope this helped! 🙂
Thank you I will check these places and see what I can find! Do you know where I can find Leggings in more colors besides Brown and Black?
Forever 21 had at least 10 different colors to choose from all under $5! Also I have seen cute ones at Target!
Where did you find the long cream colored sweater that you are wearing in the above pictures?
Forever 21. There is a link to the exact sweater in the post. 🙂
