Transitioning your winter wardrobe into spring is never an easy task. The changing of seasons doesn’t flip off and on like a light switch where we can simply put away all of our winter wear and pull out our spring attire in one day. The rollercoaster that is Texas weather doesn’t exactly help either. It’s still technically winter and it’s 80 degrees today in Dallas… While it can be tricky to coordinate outfits with the inconsistent temperatures, there are several ways to effortlessly transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. Today I am teaming up with Sears to share a look that incorporates several spring trends while still being appropriate for winter!
Nothing says spring like adding a little color to your wardrobe. This light blue Metaphor blouse is a breath of fresh air with its airy feel and pastel color. Wearing the Pantone color of the year is always on trend and this blouse comes in both of this year’s Pantone colors of the year, serenity and rose quartz! I especially love the feminine neck tie has silver grommets for an unexpected hint of edge to this otherwise soft and ladylike top.
Pleated skirts are always a great spring staple but this synthetic leather coated one is the perfect balance of winter and spring. The leather-like material and sweeping, calf-length cut allows you to wear this Metaphor skirt in the coldest weather (it would look adorable with tights and a chunky knit!) while still looking appropriate with a sleeveless blouse like in today’s look. I highly recommend adding a knife pleat skirt to your closet this season and with this one currently 60% off, you have no reason not to!
I finished my look with this gorgeous quilt-stitched purse, which is almost identical to one produced by a designer brand at over 40 times the price! From the convertible chain strap to the classic design, this Metaphor bag is one you will have in your closet for years to come (it also comes in a light peach color). Depending on the temperature, you could complete this outfit with a pair of boots or strappy sandals. I met in the middle and went for a pair of open-toe suede booties (the perfect shoe for that “in between” weather).
