A long cardigan is probably my #1 item I wear in the fall. It is the piece that no matter how many I rack up in my closet, I will always somehow justify adding another. In today’s post I am partnering with Nordstrom to show you two of my favorite ways to style this must-have cardigan. Whether you have multiple long cardigans in your closet or not, this is one you’ll want to add!
I purchased this long cardigan a while back and have worn it multiple times when traveling and even just around the house. I feel like that’s when you know you have a good sweater, when you want to wear it nonstop regardless of the occasion. This long cardigan was out of stock for a while but miraculously came back in stock and in FIVE COLORS at that. I love the olive-green but now that I see it comes in a classic tan and grey (if you only knew how many tan and grey sweaters I have…) I’m kind of thinking I need those too. What if the baby spits up on one? I’ll need a back-up, right? I told you I can always justify adding another to my closet…
WITH A BODYCON DRESS
The first way I am styling this long cardigan is with this black bodycon dress. This ruched body con tank dress is extremely flattering for all body types and comes in SEVEN colors. I have definitely gravitated towards dresses like this throughout pregnancy because I think it looks so beautiful to highlight your bump! I have quite the “bump” on my backside too so to avoid bump/booty-overload I always layer with a long cardigan, duster or kimono. Pregnant or not, this is such an easy outfit to put together that you can transition to colder weather. Just swap these mules for booties, add leggings and a blanket scarf and you are ready for fall!
WITH JEANS AND A TEE
The second way I am styling this long cardigan is with a classic white tee and skinny jeans (they may be maternity but they are still skinny jeans!). This is a timeless outfit that anyone can recreate. It also makes for a great foundation to add a fun scarf, hat or any other accessories to show off your personality. I tend to wear this gold chevron necklace with everything but once it cools down I will be wrapping a plaid scarf around my neck with this look. If you’re in need of a good white tee I highly recommend getting this one. It might be one of the softest t-shirts I have ever owned. Seriously. I also love that the material is a little on the nicer side so I’ll be able to pair it with dressier jackets and blazers in the future. I knotted it in the front to accentuate my bump but it is long enough to wear with leggings which is a major bonus! I’m wearing a medium because of my bump but I would say it fits true to size.
Which look could you see yourself wearing? I linked the multiple colors this long cardigan from Nordstrom comes in below. Everything I am wearing in today’s post can be found online at Nordstrom. I order from them all the time and choose the pickup in-store option. This way I don’t have to wait the few days for it to ship! Returns are super easy (and free!) so don’t worry if the size you order doesn’t work out. This long cardigan is made oversized and a little slouchy (which I love) so I would recommend ordering your normal size.
By the way today is my little Leo’s 3rd birthday! I can’t believe we have had him almost 3 years already. He’ll definitely be getting a special treat today and we will most likely take him out to the dog park. He’s pretty spoiled year-round so he probably won’t even notice, ha!
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and thanks for reading!
