Thank you to Cupcake Vineyards for sponsoring this post. As always opinions are my own!
It is a very special day on The Fashion Hour today because my wonderful husband is gracing us with his presence! It didnât take much convincing since wine and food was involved and the fact that we didnât leave the house⦠ha! While Iâm excited Ita is joining me for this post, I am even more excited to share several date night IN ideas with you!
Since having Mila, our date nights have been few and far between. As much as we love to go out and have fun, thereâs no denying how hard it can be to make those nights out happen with a 17 month old. But a date night in? Now that is something I can do!
Ita and I are homebodies at heart and typically choose take-out Thai food and binge-watching a show over going to a fancy dinner out. We both tend to work 24/7 so I think itâs important for us to set time aside for just US and indulge in a glass of wine or two together. Life should be about finding those moments of joy with the ones you love most no matter where you are. Sometimes the tiniest bit of effort can result in the happiest moments!
We put Mila to bed at 7:00 every night which gives us plenty of time for a date night in every now and then! Here are five easy date night in ideas for you and your significant other⦠let me know which one is your favorite!
DATE NIGHT IN IDEAS

Indoor Picnic
This is such an easy setting to create and is so romantic! I could have bread, cheese and wine every night and be happy, but any spread will do! I surprised Ita the other night with this setup of Cupcake wine and some candles along with the current show weâve been watching ready to go on the TV. There is something about sitting on the floor together sipping wine that takes me back to the early days of our relationship. I made sure to have some salty snacks for him like cheese and cashews and something sweet for me (chocolate always!). Itâs funny how something as simple as laying a blanket out with some snacks and good wine can make for such an intimate date night in! I paired it all with Cupcake Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc, which is light and delicious and perfect for your springtime date night at home!

Cook Together
Iâm sure a lot of us have our routines. Maybe you have a home-cooked meal every night for your family or maybe you eat takeout every day. Either way, there is something special about getting in the kitchen TOGETHER to cook a meal. For us, wine and cooking go hand- in- hand. Usually itâs a few sips for every splash of wine I use in the recipe.⦠I recommend finding a simple recipe where you can both contribute. Maybe you make the main dish and your significant other preps the sides. I love using white wine when making a creamy lemon pasta sauce and white wine is always so refreshing in the spring! No matter which Cupcake wine you drink, just being in the kitchen together can be so romantic!

DIY Wine Tasting
If you really want to have some fun, set up your own wine tasting. You can make little appetizers to pair with each wine and have each other guess whatâs what. Once it warms up a little I plan on doing this on our patio. At the end of the day itâs really just about having a little fun together, and I canât wait to try more wines from the Cupcake Vineyards!

Play Cards/Game
Ita and I love to play cards but itâs something we donât do much of anymore. Thereâs an Israeli card game called Yaniv that we would play together and with friends that always got heated and resulted in lots of laughter. Whether it be a card game, board game, puzzle, you name it⦠playing something together is another fun way to connect for a date night in!

Love Language Test
This is something Ita and I have never done! I always hear people talking about their âlove languagesâ so I figured it could be a fun thing to do for our next date night in! Itâll probably take some convincing to get Ita to participate but Iâm thinking a glass or two of Cupcake Rosé will do the trick. 🙂
The last thing Iâll recommend for your date night in is making it a NO PHONE ZONE! Youâre not allowed to check texts, social media, emails, nothing. As two people who are ALWAYS connected this can be hard for us. Weâve really been working on setting our phones aside even if itâs just for an hour. I promise it makes such a difference!

What is your favorite way to spend your date night in? Leave me a comment and let me know! Cheers to creating happy moments with the ones we love most!
