As a new parent it can sometimes feel like a part of your identity has been lost. Taking care of baby and being the best mom possible becomes your number one priority and what your life was before baby can seem like a distant memory.
One thing I told myself when I got pregnant was that I would not let having a baby hold me back in any way. Life is an adventure and I want my baby to be raised believing that too!
Adventures with Mila
Ever since Mila was a baby I would tell her, “we’re going on an adventure!” anytime we did something new. Whether that meant flying across the world to visit family in Israel or going down the street for our weekly trip to Homegoods, I tried to go into every situation with a fun and positive attitude.
If you have a child then you already know all of this is a lot easier said than done. There have been days where Ita and I were certain we could just head out the door to brunch with Mila but somehow 30 minutes passes and you still forgot the wipes, probably lost a shoe along the way and are nearing nap time so you rethink leaving the house all together…
I know it can be hard sometimes but I promise it’s worth it! I try to get Mila out of the house with me as much as possible whether it’s to run errands, go the park, do some shopping or even just grab a popsicle and get some sun.
One thing in particular that has made our lives easier when getting out and about with Mila is this new City Mini GT2 Stroller by Baby Jogger. Hassling with a stroller is one of the quickest ways to make me lose my temper. I’m sure you’ve been there. You’re leaving the mall and your baby is fussy because she wants another snack and you can’t get the stroller to break down properly to put it in the car and get the heck out of there… instant frustration, right? Not with this stroller. My favorite feature of this stroller has to be the one-hand fold. I can seriously have Mila on one arm and break down this stroller with the other. All you do is lift a strap and it instantly folds in half and lays perfectly flat so it takes up minimal space in your trunk.

I know I never have to worry where I’m taking her because the all-terrain wheels can handle anywhere we go. We’re planning a road trip to the Hill Country to camp this spring and I have no doubt this stroller will be able to handle every hike and rocky path we may go on. The magnetic peek-a-boo window is also a great feature (she loves looking up at me through it and I love being able to see what she’s doing when the canopy is down!) and I also love the handbrake that makes it easy to lock which I’ve never had in a stroller before.
I actually first heard about Baby Jogger from one of my older brothers. He has three kids and has used the City Mini GT with all of them. I remember when I was pregnant he pretty much did a presentation for me of how easy the stroller was to use, its features and how much he loved it (so cute, right?). I don’t know why I didn’t listen to him sooner but I am so happy to be able to use the City Mini GT2 now and you’ll be able to get your hands on one very soon when they launch this spring!

You may not be able to do all the things you used to do all the time. But if you go into every thing you do thinking you’re off on another adventure with your babe, it will set the tone for a fun day and make those hiccups along the way a little less stressful. I know Ita and I are doing everything we can to live life to the fullest with Mila and I have to say life has been pretty amazing so far!

Thank you to Baby Jogger for sponsoring this post. As always opinions are my own!
Hi! I have been reading that some people do not like that this stroller does not sit in a more upright position because their baby doesn’t always like being reclined too far back. What’s your opinion on this? Thanks! 🙂
I love my stroller, but I was heartbroken to hear that they discontinued the snack tray attachment. I don’t think I would’ve bought this stroller. If I would’ve known, I could not get a snack tray attachment with it.
