I decided to take a very literal approach to Valentine’s Day this year by wearing a crop top with the word “LOVE” on it and a dark red pencil skirt. After all love is what Valentine’s Day is all about right? Most girls use this day to get dressed up in something girly and pink or a sexy, red dress that hugs every curve paired with sky-high heels. While I may be wearing some high heels (that are kinda sexy), I am keeping this outfit casual much like how my husband and I will be spending Valentine’s Day this year. Don’t get me wrong, I love to get dolled up and go out for a fancy dinner every now and then, but out of the 7 Valentine’s days my husband and I have spent together, I think we’ve gone out once.
Most restaurants add tables to cram in as many couples as they can for their “Special Valentine’s Day 3 Course Menu” that is always overbooked (and more than likely overpriced). My husband and I are the kind of people who will enjoy ourselves no matter where we go, but we’d rather spend this romantic holiday together at home than scrunched between two other couples we don’t know unintentionally listening in on their conversations (although that can be pretty entertaining too).
No matter what you decide to do this Valentine’s Day, I hope it is spent with the people you care about most and make you feel loved. <3 As for my husband and I, we will be sharing in one of the greatest presents of all- binge watching the new season of House of Cards.

I just started following you in hopes I can get out of this terrible style rut I’m in. I went shopping a couple weeks ago and was completely lost. So thank you for blogging! It’s very helpful.
