Greetings from Israel! Or I guess I should say Shalom! My husband and I flew in last week and have been nonstop since we landed. Some of you may know my husband is from Israel and we take a trip there every summer to visit his family and friends. We always look forward to traveling to Israel but this trip is especially important because three of his best friends are getting married. Yes you read that correctly, three! I always look forward to attending weddings here since they are so different from most American weddings. In my experience Israeli weddings have more food, more people, more dancing, and they don’t end before 3am! Aside from the party aspect of it all, it’s fascinating to see all of the traditions and cultural differences. It’s so easy for people to get caught up in a routine and stuck in a bubble. These experiences always remind me how important it is to be open-minded and embrace differences, and that we live in a much bigger world than most of us can comprehend.
