One of the things I enjoy most about summer is laying out by the pool and sipping a refreshing cocktail. Now that I’m over six months pregnant, the reality is more like trying to get comfortable in a pool float and not sink it, chugging water 24/7 and going inside to take breaks so my body doesn’t get too hot. SO FUN, GUYS.
No but in all honesty it’s really not bad at all. And here recently I found a way to make those pool days feel a little more special and like the old days. Ocean Spray® just came out with three different “Mocktails”. The flavors are: Tropical Paradise, Cranberry Sangria and Cranberry Peach Bellini (my favorite!). They are non-alcoholic juices made with real fruit juice, no preservatives or high fructose corn syrup and taste SO good!
My favorite is the Cranberry Peach Bellini and I like to fill my cup a little over halfway then fill the rest with sparkling water. It may sound silly but sipping on a bubbly drink like this by the pool really did make me feel like I was partaking in all the “fun” my friends and family were having. I drink water all the time and don’t mind it at all but drinking this mocktail all dressed up with fruit and in a cute glass really made the pool day feel more special!
Although these are Mocktails, if you’re NOT pregnant they would make for some delicious mixers! Even if I wasn’t pregnant I would totally buy these Ocean Spray® mocktails because they taste so good! At the end of the day I feel like it is important to make yourself feel special every now and then. Even with the little things. If you’ve got a baby on the way like me I highly recommend picking up a flavor or two at your local grocery store. With all of the highs and lows that happen throughout pregnancy I think we all deserve to pour ourselves a mocktail!
