Casual Holiday Party Outfit Idea

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start. I took Mila to go see the Disney Junior Holiday party yesterday and it was so much fun! We missed the meet and greet with Mickey by 5 minutes (I wanted to cry even though I’m sure Mila didn’t even understand what was going on lol) but the show itself was a blast for her. When Mickey came on stage she was giggling and reaching her arms out to touch him and I seriously thought she was going to cry she was so excited. ? I’ll be sure to share pictures and videos on Instagram soon!

I’m excited to share today’s blog post with you because I feel like it will be helpful for those of you going to holiday get togethers like me that aren’t super fancy. I will gladly show you cocktail dresses and sequins galore (I have a roundup coming soon!) but I feel like there have been several parties and get togethers with friends I’ve had where I really didn’t need to dress up that much. SO I thought why not share a look that’s festive but not overly done that you could easily wear to multiple occasions!?

CASUAL HOLIDAY PARTY OUTFIT IDEA

I love a good sweater and skirt combo this time of year and feel like it is such an easy outfit to recreate! When I saw this ribbed knit skirt in green at Nordstrom I knew I had to give it a try. I love that the slit is on the side as opposed to down the middle on another one I’ve tried. Both are cute but I just felt this one was more flattering for me! I love this green for the holidays because it brings an element of festive without being too much but just a heads up it also comes in beige. How gorgeous would the beige one look with a white sweater and heels?! I might’ve just convinced myself to order it lol.

I paired the skirt with a looser fitting turtleneck I front tucked and added snakeskin booties for a fun and trendy touch! I think depending on the occasion you could absolutely wear this same outfit with a pair of strappy sandals to make it dressy OR throw on a cute pair of sneakers to make it really casual. By the way my turtleneck is starting to sell out so I’m linking a few similar options below to achieve the same look!

As far as accessories go I can’t seem to stop wearing big hoop earrings (linking a few options below) but you could also do a statement earring like this heart pair. My entire outfit is from Nordstrom and both pieces are Nordstrom-exclusive brands! Every time I shop at Nordstrom I check their Nordstrom Made brands like BP. and Leith because they always have cute pieces and are always a very reasonable price (my outfit is under $100)!
