Happy early Mother’s Day! I am so excited to share today’s Chic at Every Age post where we collaborated with Links of London. You may remember a previous post I did with Links of London around Valentine’s Day featuring their Sweetie Bracelet. Today I am sharing a couple of new charms I added and the meaning behind them along with a few cherished moments with my mom.
20’s: me // 30’s: Style of Sam // 40’s: So Heather // 50’s: The Middle Page
The girls and I thought it would be fun to get together with our kids for a little Mother’s Day celebration for ourselves. While it may have gotten a little crazy at times with that many little kids and trying to snap some photos, it was so much fun and like always we laughed at every moment. And how cute is Mila in these pictures?! I know I will cherish these forever!
Be sure to check out each of the girls posts to see which charms they picked out and the special meaning behind them!
As you may know from reading my previous post with Links of London, I am so happy to have such a meaningful piece of jewelry that I know I will own forever. This Sweetie bracelet really is all about Mila in my eyes and I love that I can look down at each charm and think about the special meaning behind them. The two new charms I added are…
Evil Eye Charm: I think I fell in love with evil eye pieces after visiting Israel for the first time (they’re really popular there!) and love the meaning behind them. It is a symbol of protection and warning away evil. As a new mom I am overwhelmed with the love I have for my little girl and protecting her is everything to me. I know I will do everything I can to keep her and our family out of harm’s way and this little charm is a reminder of that. I love how beautiful this one is with the sapphire and blue topaz detail. It could easily be worn on a necklace on its own!
Moon Charm: I had to have this moon charm. It’s hard to see in the photos but it says, “Reach for the Moon”! Something I know both me and Ita will always do is encourage Mila and make sure she knows she can do anything she sets her heart to! “Reach for the moon because even if you miss you’ll land among the stars”.
Mother’s Day always makes me reflect on special memories with my mom. Some of my most cherished memories with my mom were the simple moments like baking chocolate chip cookies together. This was something we did since I was a very little girl and still sometimes do today! Just being in the kitchen together baking was always so much fun and something I am already starting to do with Mila. She may not know what’s going on just yet but I have had her on my hip or hanging out in her little bouncer while I’m whipping up a batch of cookies. I can’t wait until she is old enough to climb up on the counter and help me make them! I am certain all three of us will be in the kitchen together baking in no time. 🙂
What are your favorite memories with your mom? Is there something special you do with your kids that you cherish most? I’d love to hear them!
If you’re looking for a special gift for Mother’s Day or even something special for yourself… this Links of London Sweetie Bracelet is such a timeless piece you’ll be able to add onto for years to come!
