You may remember back in December I took a trip to Miami with the girls of Chic at Every Age for a fun project with SOMA Intimates. I am beyond excited to share with you the results of that shoot and a little more on SOMA! SOMA chose us to be featured in their Spring Campaign focused on providing solutions to women of all ages. We’re talking everything from night sweats to back fat to panty lines (nobody likes a panty line…). The girls and I were beyond honored to work with such a wonderful brand that truly provides solutions for any age.

Before working with SOMA, I was very familiar with them but didn’t own any of their bras, underwear or loungewear. I knew so many women were obsessed with their quality pieces but I had never experienced them for myself. All I can say is I am glad I finally did and only wish I had purchased a few things sooner (like while I was pregnant)! Between having an in-store experience with their highly knowledgable staff who helped fit me for a bra and spending a few days with the SOMA team in Florida learning so much about the brand, I am hooked.
There are four main pieces I fell in love with that I am breaking down below. The best part is these items are offering a solution to problems we all struggle with, regardless of age, and they’re available in a range of colors and styles at such a reasonable price point.

Cool Nights Pajamas
This Boyfriend Nightshirt was my favorite piece I wore! Soma’s Cool Nights Pajamas do exactly what the name implies, keep you cool at night! As a new mom who has been waking up at all hours of the night to nurse, these pajamas are a must-have item. They come in different styles but I love the nightshirt. The button down style allows for easy access to nurse at night and the breathable, cooling material is so comfortable. I have had nights where I felt so gross and sweaty from having Mila on me feeding but these pajamas helped eliminate that feeling all together! Vanishing Back Bra
Another favorite of mine was the Vanishing Back Bra. I don’t know about you but with me, the back fat is real and post-Mila I am noticing it more now than ever… back fat is one of those things that I feel like no matter how skinny you may be you can still have it. I hate the look of wearing a fitted top that shows a little lump where my bra hits in the back. NOT CUTE. I truly was amazed how seamless of a fit this bra was. I had zero bulges after putting it on and felt much more confident wearing tighter tops and dresses after. They have a great selection of Nursing Bras, too!
Slimming Leggings
Talk about the perfect item for a postpartum Mom like me! Soma’s Slimming Leggings have a wide compression waistband that makes you feel sucked in and I swear shaves an inch or two off your waist! I loved that the material was thick and not see-through at all. I felt smooth all the way down and there were no bulges in sight. I am all about athleisure attire these days so I pair these leggings with an oversized sweater or tee but you can also dress them up for a night out or over a dress for work! If in between sizes I would size up as they are pretty tight (they really suck you in!).
Vanishing Edge Panties
You could have on the prettiest, most-stylish outfit but a visible panty line will ruin all of it in an instant. I am more of a thong person myself and never thought a seamless panty really worked. After trying SOMA’s Vanishing Edge Panties I am now a believer. My mom and Mila joined me on this trip (Mila was only 7 weeks!) and I have to say I was a little nervous about doing something like this so soon after having her. I felt my body was still recovering and not back to the way it was (it still isn’t and might not ever be) and the idea of having my picture taken and being on video was not exactly something I was thrilled about. At the end of the day I am so glad I didn’t let any of that hold me back and am so grateful to the girls for being so supportive and to the SOMA team for being so accommodating and encouraging. I can only hope one day when Mila is old enough she will be inspired that her mom pursued opportunities she was passionate about and that this experience will encourage her to do the same!
