Chic at Every Age: Ruffle Wrap Dress -

Yay for Friday! I am so ready to catch up on some sleep this weekend. I’ve been staying up pretty late after Mila goes to bed to get work done and before I know it it’s 1am. She usually wakes up between 6 and 7 so those early morning wake up calls have been rough especially since Ita has been out of town for a week! Thankfully he is back now so I definitely plan on sleeping in tomorrow and waking up just in time to watch the World Cup. 🙂 But enough rambling, let’s talk about this ruffle wrap dress me and the Chic at Every Age girls are wearing!

An overlooked item I think every woman needs in her closet is a good wrap dress. Wrap dresses can be so flattering and such a classic look. Anything that ties in at the waist is usually flattering on most body types but add the pretty wrap front across the bust and it’s even better.

I love that these dresses have a ruffle trim and that the sleeves fit loosely and to the elbow. The $55 dress falls above the knee (I’m 5’5”) so depending on your height it could be a little on the short side. I love how Cathy wore hers as a tunic and I think the dress could also be worn open as a draped vest! *By the way Cathy just celebrated 5 years cancer-free! She is one amazing woman and kicked triple negative breast cancer’s butt!

My favorite detail of this dress is the buttons. Most wrap dresses have a tie waist but this one has the prettiest fabric covered buttons that the dress hooks onto. Such a small detail but I think that’s what makes it special.

The color of my dress keeps going in and out of stock but it’s 50% off so I would keep checking! The dress is only $55 full price and I’m sure the other colors will go on sale soon too!
