Chic at Every Age: White Teddy Coat + How to Help TEXAS!

Hi friends! What a week it has been here in Texas… if you’re not experiencing the effects of the winter storm here I am sure you have heard about it by now. What’s going on is truly unbelievable. Literally MILLIONS without power and forced to boil water in order for it to be safe and some even had no water at all. We feel incredibly lucky our power stayed on when I know of so many firsthand that either experienced constant rolling outages or had no power at all. If you are not aware of what’s going on in Texas right now and the severity of this winter storm that hit, I encourage you to do a simple google search to see some of the damage and incredibly harsh conditions Texans are going through as we speak.

While the temperatures are starting to warm, it is creating more problems with peoples pipes bursting causing flooding and complete devastation of homes and belongings. Texans are so strong but I don’t think anyone could have been prepared for the magnitude of this weather. My heart is with anyone who experienced freezing in their own homes and not having a warm place to go. I know so many are working so hard to help those in need and there are so many ways to help in this time if you’re able.

From shelters like The Family Place that were completely destroyed with 100+ women and children forced to relocate and organizations like Our Calling who are working overtime to provide shelter for countless homeless and victims of this storm, there are plenty of options to donate to in this time.

Me and several other Texas influencers got together to create a Go Fund Me to raise money and will be distributing it to people in need. If you have been hit from this storm or know someone who could use a helping hand, please send an email to LetsHelpTexas@gmail.com. We have raised over $10,000 so far and are trying to raise as much as possible to help in any way we can.

I know not all are financially able to help so spreading the word by sharing this post or the go fund me page would be a great way to help too!

Praying this is all over soon! Texans are resilient and I have no doubt will do everything they can to help their neighbor as well as hold accountable the people and companies that allowed this to happen so that it can NEVER happen again.

Sending lots of love and a warm hug your way! Please reach out if there is anything I can do to help.
