Happy Friday! In case you didn’t know, yesterday was International Women’s Day. I am a huge advocate of women supporting women and a big believer that there is plenty of room for all of us to succeed. I’ve said it before and you’ll probably hear me continue to say it, I feel very lucky to be in such a woman-empowered group with these three who embody what it means to support and encourage other women.

If I’m being completely honest, I needed their words of encouragement for this shoot. As you may know every other week one of us picks out a piece of clothing and we all style it in our own way. This particular top was a bit of a struggle for me. Statement sleeves are 100% IN but I didn’t feel like this top looked that great on me. I think it was just a combination of my body type and not feeling that great about my body and how things are looking on me post-baby.
I think the top looks so good on them and I am obsessed with the color. This color is gorgeous and bright colors are definitely in for spring! Just the cut of the top itself I wasn’t dying over for myself. I tried to show a different way to wear it with a blazer over it but let’s be real, I’m giving a bit of Miami Vice vibes don’t you think? 🙈 I’m saying all of this because I want you to know I will always be honest about how I feel about a certain piece of clothing, a product, etc. While these girls definitely made me feel a lot better about how the top looked on me and Becca, our photographer always makes us look good (thanks, Becca), I wanted to make sure I gave you my full, honest opinion! I will say I love the look of bright colors with white. These white culottes are old but I just love pairing white with a vibrant color for a crisp look! FYI I found this white suit on sale HERE.
What do you have planned this weekend? We are headed on our first family road trip to Austin! I’m headed there for SXSW and Ita is going to watch Mila while I attend a couple of events! Crossing my fingers traffic isn’t horrible… wish us luck!
Thanks for reading!
