Happy Friday! I get excited about the weekends more than ever now that I am back at work because it means 48 hours of uninterrupted time with Mila! This has been a pretty exhausting week as I had a very busy few days at work and Ita has been out of town most of the week. After work yesterday my mom and I took Mila to the park for a little picnic so that was definitely a highlight! It was an unusually warm day so we took full advantage to be outside. Seeing her take in all of the environment around her and look up at the sky was pretty special. It makes me so excited for nicer weather so we can be outside a lot more often. This constant cold, dreary weather has been killing me!

But enough of me rambling about Mila (you should probably get used to that I guess…), today’s Chic at Every Age post is all about this lavender lace top! The Pantone color of the year is ultra-violet so we knew we had to incorporate it somehow into one of our posts! I always feel like purple is not a very flattering color on me but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this top. I think the color looks so pretty on all of the girls and I love how differently we all styled it! The delicate, sheer lace and sleeve detail takes this top to the next level and feels a lot more expensive than its $69 price tag.
I styled the lavender lace top a little more on the sexier side as I am wearing a black lace bra underneath. If you haven’t invested in a lacey bralette yet, I highly recommend doing so soon! And by invested I mean you could spend as little as $12.99 like I did with this black one I’m wearing from Target! This Free People one is much nicer and I think the price is justified for the quality and amount of wear you will get out of it BUT if you want to save a few bucks, grab the one I’m wearing from Target! They both will look so cute under blouses like this or with slouchy sweaters, an oversized tee, delicate tank… lots of options to pair it with (I think I just convinced myself to buy the Free People one – lol)!
As temps warm up I would style this top with lighter jeans. This post actually made me realize that I really need some new jeans! I will definitely be on the hunt for some over the next few weeks so I’ll keep you posted on what I find. I still love these black step hem jeans that I’ve worn with just about everything lately. They’re only $69 and I love the stretch. The only downfall is I feel like dog hair and fuzzies stick to them. I keep a lint roller in my car so it’s not a big deal but just wanted to let you know! By the way me designer pumps (a T.J. Maxx score from a while back) are on sale HERE in four colors for almost 50% off!
I hope you enjoyed this post about this lavender lace top and I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks for reading!
