Happy Friday! This week has flown by! I don’t know if it was because of Memorial Day or the fact that I feel like I’ve had a million things going on (what’s new). Or it could be that WE LEAVE FOR CALIFORNIA TOMORROW! Yes, I’m heading back to California but this time it’s with the husband. We had been talking about going on a trip basically since we found out we were pregnant and had to cancel our trips to Cuba and Aruba (darn Zika virus). I’ve been trying to do the best I can to get caught up with both blog work and work work. This trip is meant to be relaxing and about cherishing some alone time together before the baby comes so the last thing I want is to be stressing about work (which is what I normally do…).

But before I head to the beach I’m sharing this new Chic at Every Age post featuring a statement ruffle blouse! You’ll notice I’m wearing a coral blouse instead of pale pink. This was not intentional… back when we ordered this top I could have SWORN I clicked the pale pink one. When it arrived in the mail, I noticed it was more of a coral color. I thought to myself, “Hmm. I thought we had chosen a light pink top” and left it at that. Instead of looking into it and checking with the girls, I just figured I remembered the color wrong and went about my life. It wasn’t until the night before the shoot when Sam snapped a photo of herself in the top that I realized I had the wrong one! I’m just gonna blame this one on “PREGNANCY BRAIN”. Which I now firmly believe is a very real thing (some of the things I’ve done the last few months… I’ll share some with you eventually)! Luckily the girls are amazing and thought it was hilarious. I’m always laughing nonstop when I get together with them and am thankful they got such a kick out of my pregnancy brain moment. 🙂
Although I wanted the pale pink one, I really do love the coral version of this ruffle blouse top. It also comes in black. I love the strapless off the shoulder look but with the halter neck detail. The top is lightweight with the prettiest ruffle layer. I wore a fun pair of tassel earrings that Flea Style sent me (similar tassel earrings here). It’s an easy and effortless top for summer whether you pair it with jeans and heels or cut off shorts and sandals. I paired mine with dark denim but any wash would look good. Honestly these were the only jeans I could button… ha! Here’s a closer look at my ruffle blouse outfit…
Keep up with my trip on Instagram as I’ll be posting there throughout the week (@natalie_keinan)! In case you missed it, Ita joined me in a blog post on Summer Whites! I also shared my FULL PALM SPRINGS RECAP that you won’t want to miss! By the way we will be in the Newport and Laguna Beach area so if you have any recommendations for food or things to do, please let me know!
Thanks for reading!
