Happy Friday! I feel like the last week has been incredibly busy and there are no signs of it stopping anytime soon. I have a lot of exciting things in the works that will be coming to the blog soon so I hope you will stick around and check back often so you don’t miss out! (Or better yet, you can enter your email address on the right and never miss a post!)
Today is the final look from my Sweater Weather series with Ansley Beth Photography and Get Glam by Sam. These two are both so talented in their respective fields and I can’t wait to work with them again. Today’s outfit encompasses one of my favorite color combos: brown and aqua. I think my obsession with aqua began a few years ago when I started planning my wedding. It was all about finding that right shade of aqua to incorporate into every part of the wedding decor! If you walk into my house you will see tans and browns with pops of aqua pretty much everywhere. Even friends and family members tease me about it and point things out when they see “my color” (usually anything that falls between light blue and seafoam green). Like I said, it’s an obsession.
What I love most about this outfit is that anyone can recreate it! I took a simple jeans and tee look (remember seeing it a few months ago?) and simply added a waffle knit sweater and chunky scarf. Fall is all about layering. If you struggle with finding the right pieces or get confused on what to put together, sometimes it is easiest to take an outfit you’ve worn in the summer and just add a piece or two to it and you’ll be good to go! Even with my outfit today, once it becomes freezing outside I can still wear this chunky scarf outfit by swapping my heels for boots and adding another layer on top (chunky cardigan or coat)! I found this sweater on sale at Old Navy (just like my mustard sweater) in Grapevine Mills. For those of you that live in DFW or visit the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Grapevine Mills is getting a major face lift! I had the opportunity to attend a bloggers-only preview at Last Call Neiman Marcus of this season’s hottest trends and get the inside scoop on the multimillion dollar renovation of the outlet mall.
I have been shopping at Grapevine Mills for years so I was thrilled to see the interior renovation plans outlined a much more modern look. I can’t share any pictures of the plans but I will say from the floors to the ceilings, Grapevine Mills is getting a makeover. Renovations are scheduled to be completed by this time next year and I cannot wait! Take a look at the stores we toured that have already been renovated and have some GREAT DEALS right now…
