If you haven’t heard, it’s National Cocktail Day. So what better way to celebrate than with a cocktail-inspired post?!
I had the pleasure of teaming up with my friend Susie who runs the ever so popular Dallas happy hour blog, Susie Drinks Dallas, on her recently launched series titled none other than, #DrinkingwithSusie. In this new series she is inviting some of her friends over, who also happen to be local bloggers or creators in some form or fashion, to create a cocktail together and do a short interview.
I gave Susie a few requests in order to create our delicious cocktail concoction:
- must be served in the copper pineapple she so kindly gave me as a Christmas present
- use Champagne – she used Veuve Clicquot to be exact (she doesn’t mess around)
- must be light and refreshing
Basically I wanted it to feel somewhat “healthy” because who doesn’t like to simultaneously detox while they retox??
The cocktail included:
Absolut Elyx
Champagne
Coconut Water
Lemon Juice
Honey Syrup
Coconut Shavings
After we whipped up our cocktail I touched on some spring trends I think will be popular this season. From everything off-the-shoulder to frayed denim and bandanas, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below!
You can view the full recipe and read my interview on her blog here! Get my outfit details below!
Let me know what you think of the cocktail we made! Happy National Cocktail Day! Cheers!
