Don’t Fear the Clearance Rack

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- don’t be afraid of the clearance rack! Yes, you may have to dig. Yes, the sizes might not be organized. Yes, you may come across some not-so-cute pieces. And YES, it may all be worth it when you find that one amazing piece marked down to $5.00 (or remember when I got two skirts and a pair of pants for $6.11? Worth it!)! Now contrary to popular belief, I do not only buy clothing from the clearance racks… but, today that is not the case. Almost every item I have on today I found in the clearance section. Top, skirt, necklace, boots- all on clearance. Like I mentioned earlier, shopping clearance racks has its obstacles. As silly as it sounds you have to be mentally prepared to sort through the stuff you don’t like to get to what you do like. If you can get through the obstacles, more times than not you will be rewarded. This H&M skirt I have on is well worth paying the entire $34.95 price tag. It’s lined, has a nice asymmetrical zipper detail, the fabric is a classic pinstripe, wool blend. Totally worth thirty-five bucks, right? This is why finding it marked down to $5.00 makes it that much better! You should never buy something just because it’s cheap. You should buy it because you like it, feel good in it and feel it is worth your hard-earned cash! For me, paying $5 for this skirt was a no-brainer! I am already looking forward to cold weather so I can throw a chunky sweater on with it!
