Gift Guide for the New Mom

Happy Friday y’all! I am so excited to share today’s gift guide because it’s for the mamas! As a relatively new mom myself (Mila is almost 14 months!), I wanted to make sure I put together a few items that I have loved as a new mom and ones I would love to receive! I think we can all agree SLEEP is probably number one on the wishlist for a new mom. While you can’t exactly give the gift of sleep, here are several other gift ideas the new mom in your life will love!

GIFT GUIDE FOR THE NEW MOM

1. Plush Robe

I lived in a robe for the longest time after first having Mila. I am still all about that #robelife now and a big plush one is a must for this time of year. Here are a few that look super soft…

2. Lola James Necklace

I would love to have this necklace but I will say it’s a little pricey! This is one of those gifts you might drop a few hints with the husband about… I have a couple necklaces and rings with an “m” initial on it for Mila but I think a necklace like this with her name I could wear every day would be even cuter!

3. Water Bottle

Water is obviously important for everyone but those first few months at home with Mila I was drinking water nonstop! It would’ve been nice to have a quality water bottle like this Swell one or even a Yeti!

4. Comfy Throw

I can never have enough cozy throws around the house and this one from Urban Outfitters looks so soft and comes in several colors!

5. Skin Revival Serum Trio

My skin went through a lot after Mila was born. It got insanely dry to the point where it was actually scaly. So gross, I know. I think a lot of women go through similar issues with all of the hormonal changes so a gift set like this skin revival serum trio would probably be very appreciated!

6. Everything is MAMA Book

So I bought Ita the Jimmy Fallon book, “Your Baby’s First Word Will be DADA” and I swear it is still one of Mila’s favorite books. I think the Mama book would be such a cute gift for a friend!

7. Slipper Socks

I love slippers but I actually lived in cozy socks during those first few months with baby (you know where you sleep like an hour a day). This pair looks so soft but I can’t tell if it has grips. This pair and this pair do so you can make sure and not run the risk of slipping while you’re walking around the house like a zombie.

8. Button Down Thermal

I think this hands down has to be the most popular shirt for a new mom. New mom or not it is one of the most popular shirts for the last year or two but it’s especially helpful to those who breastfeed! I loved how loose and easily accessible it made breastfeeding and I still wear it now! I have this button down thermal in a few colors and from a few different stores. The Urban Outfitters one is the most popular but I love the two I have from JCPenney that are currently on sale for $11.99!!

9. Silk Pillowcase

This is in my beauty gift guide as well. Life with a newborn can be less than glamorous so I think it’d be nice to receive something a little luxurious!

10. Tote Savvy

This is a really neat insert you can put in any of your tote bags to essentially make it a diaper bag! It comes in different colors and different sizes.

11. Jumbo Coffee Mug

I picked up this giant coffee mug at Target the other day that says, “Mama Needs Some Coffee”! I feel like this is the size of coffee mug I need at all times and I’m share most moms feel the same way! It’s a steal at only $5.99!

12. Mom Life is the Best Life Tee

Mom Life really is the best life and this tee is sure to put a smile on any moms face. It’s $32!

Gift Certificate for Spa Day

I don’t know many people who wouldn’t be happy about a gift certificate for a facial or massage. If you have a friend or family member who is exhausted all the time from that #momlife how nice would it be to surprise them with a spa day?

Nurture Life Meal Delivery Service

If you haven’t heard of Nurture Life it is a meal delivery service that provides wholesome and fresh, read-to-eat meals for babies, toddlers and kids! There are tons of pediatric dietician-approved meals to choose from and you can edit it to your child’s age and dietary restrictions! I have heard nothing but great things about this company and I am trying it out for myself (and Mila obviously) next week! I am always on the go, never have enough time in the day to get everything done and don’t always have the time to cook fresh, healthy meals every day.
