Is it just me or did this weekend go by way too fast? I guess I feel like every weekend goes by too fast but at least we’re almost half way through this week! As you know I did a bit of traveling in California over the last month for a bachelorette party and for a little vacation with Ita. I had the chance to stay at four separate places so I’m dedicating this week on the blog to breaking down each one of them! First up is a property I’ve touched on a few times now, our HomeAway house in Palm Springs. This is where we stayed for my friend Amanda’s bachelorette party that was seriously unbelievable…
This HomeAway house in Palm Springs had everything. The pool, the giant kitchen, the spacious living room, the gorgeous guest rooms, the perfectly landscaped grounds, the outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, a putt putt area (yes, we had our own putt putt green)… I could go on and on. The house itself was stunning but the best part is that it allowed us to all be together, all the time.
When planning this bachelorette party, it was important to all of us to be somewhere that we could all be under one roof. We didn’t want to stay in a hotel where we would be spread out and most likely spend a fortune. This is where HomeAway came in. If you’re not familiar with HomeAway, their website allows you to search all over the world for properties that fit your specific needs and rent twice the amount of space at half the price of a hotel room. Planning a bachelorette party soon or maybe a family reunion? This is the perfect site to use. You can choose how many rooms you want, bathrooms, pricing, special features like a pool or if pets are allowed, etc. It was perfect for planning Amanda’s bachelorette party and the best part was we knew EXACTLY what we were getting. The site showed tons of pictures, reviews, who the owner is, etc. This part really put us all at ease because there were no surprises.
Even if you’re not planning a trip with a huge group, you can find smaller homes or condos. Ita and I have used HomeAway for a little cabin on the lake in Austin that we loved! I always look at their site when we’re thinking about little road trips or getaways and know that I will always have options regardless of my budget.
