I Fratelli Ristorante and Wine Bar

I have been eating i Fratellis Pizza for years. As far as delivery pizza goes, it has to be my favorite. I would say my husband and I order a pizza from them about once a month (half Margherita half spinach and mushroom please!). Instead of ordering in the other night, we decided to venture out into the cold and rainy weather to the actual i Fratelli Ristorante and Wine Bar. At this location in Las Colinas they have a full menu (not only pizza), wine list, and most importantly, a GREAT happy hour. From 5:00-7:00 everyday their house wine is $3.00 and their Sangria, Bellinis, and Lemoncellos are half price. On a normal evening I would go for a glass of their house wine but my husband and I decided to try out their half-priced pitcher of Sangria. And what a great decision it was! The pitcher was HUGE and the Sangria was delicious. The Sangria was a mixture of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with fresh slices of oranges, lemons, and limes. Sangria can be a tricky concoction to create in the sense that you will have people who prefer it sweet, and people who prefer it bold. I am one of those people who prefer it bold so I loved the mixture of Merlot and Cab. I am also one of those people who will drink almost anything… but I digress.

They do not have a “happy hour” food menu but they do have several tapas to choose from ranging from $5-$7 if you want small plates for sharing. My husband and I shared their Eggplant Parmesan with the “Rosa” sauce ($9.99) and a bowl of their Minestrone soup ($5.49)- both were delicious and super comforting!

If you’re looking to enjoy a quiet, romantic dinner with your significant other and a few drinks (or entire pitcher) at a reasonable price, I Fratelli’s is the way to go.
