Mon Amie Watches: The Gift that Makes an Impact

I am so glad you’re here because today’s post is very special to me. I know this time of year can get kind of hectic with holiday parties and trying to make sure you’ve checked everyone off your list for Christmas presents. Mon Amie (which means “my friend” in french) is a new watch brand by Fossil Group who is inspiring others to “wear the change you want to see in the world”. With every purchase, Mon Amie is donating to one of five charitable causes. As you’ll see on their website (and I’ve broken down below), each watch represents a different cause. When you purchase a watch, you are donating to that cause through WE Charity and are able to track your impact via the code on your watch. Each watch also comes with a pin that you can keep and wear yourself or give to someone else.

I chose the Health watch because it provides prenatal care for one woman in Africa. Kind of remarkable, right? All I have to do is buy a beautiful watch (that is very reasonably priced at $95) and I am actually helping a woman get prenatal care… being the new mom that I am this cause really struck a chord with me. I feel so blessed to of had the care that I did throughout my pregnancy and can’t imagine what it would be like not having that care and what the repercussions could have been. The fact that so many women in the world do not receive prenatal care is heartbreaking and I strongly believe one of the ways we can help solve that problem starts with small contributions like this.

This time of year a lot of us are spending so much money on gifts for friends and family. My Health watch is a light pink with gold accents and a delicate heart icon at the 12 o’clock. It comes with a heart pin that says, “Have a heart” which I pinned on Mila’s diaper bag. It is a daily reminder for myself of how blessed I am to of had the care that safely brought Mila here.
