I love ombre. For me it is a classed up version of tie dye that I am inspired to incorporate into my wardrobe, beauty routine, and interior design. The word ombre is used to describe a dyed, printed, or woven design in which the color is graduated from light to dark. Ombre is seen everywhere in clothing from denim shirts and shorts to skirts and designer gowns. Aside from clothing, ombre hairstyles (usually going from dark brown roots to light blonde) have been a major trend for the last couple of years seen on celebrities like Lauren Conrad and Jessica Alba. (What do you think of this ombre look here? I am very tempted to try something different with my hair…!) And with a little patience you can even sport an ombre manicure!
As you can probably tell I may be slightly obsessed with all things ombre so when I saw this BB Dakota sweater at Flirt Boutique in Dallas I knew I had to have it! Even more than that, I had recently purchased a mauve pair of jean shorts that would fade perfectly with the bottom color of the sweater to really create a full ombre look. The back of the sweater is slightly open so it is perfect for spring, whether you want to show some skin or wear a tank underneath.
Sweater: c/o Flirt Boutique Dallas (BB Dakota) // Shorts: TJ Maxx $12.99 (American Eagle) also love these white ones // Wedges: TJ Maxx $39.99 (BCBGeneration) // Sunglasses: Versona Accessories $3.99
