Happy Saturday! I am looking forward to getting some rest this weekend and hopefully laying out by the pool for a bit (it’s 80 degrees and sunny here in Dallas!). Last night was the first night of Passover so I spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen after work yesterday preparing dinner for me and Ita. We normally get together with our friends who are from Israel but since they were out of town, that meant I had to step up to the plate (literally) to prepare the dinner! I made beef bourguignon courtesy of the Barefoot Contessa’s recipe and some oven roasted potatoes and cauliflower. We also had all of the traditional foods required on Passover and read through the entire Haggadah (luckily Passover requires quite a bit of red wine consumption). I snapped a few photos and shared them on snapchat in case you want to check it out! My username is @thefashionhour.
The night before was Ita and I’s four year wedding anniversary (we’ve been together for nine)! The Hilton Anatole hosted us for an event that night (hello upscale resort style pool coming in July), then put us up in a room and surprised us with a bottle of champagne and an adorable little cake! Seriously the best hospitality and just the kindest people! I can’t wait to go back once the pool opens and rent out a cabana!
But enough about the last few days, let’s talk about this outfit! While shopping at Nordstrom a while back I fell in love with the detailing on this top. It has beautiful floral embroidery and the most subtle cutouts. Even the back is special with its t-strap. I feel like you could wear this top with a luxurious pair of white trousers or a pair of cutoff shorts and there’s even a bell sleeve version of it! It’s a versatile piece and the way it flows is not only flattering but convenient (you know, for when you eat too many tacos).
I hope you have a great weekend! I have several new posts next week so be sure to come back on Monday and don’t forget you can follow me on Instagram to shop my looks early!
Thank you for reading!
