In the spirit of #ThrowbackThursday, I am getting a little nostalgic on the blog today and sharing a childhood memory of mine with the help of Coffee-mate! Like many people in this world, I start my day with a cup of coffee before I head off to work. Well, a few cups of coffee (I’m not a morning person). I have been using Coffee-mate creamer in my coffee since I began drinking coffee, thanks to my mom who introduced me to it. I have a couple of go-to flavors I stick with, but I recently came across the Coffee-mate Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie while shopping one day and knew I had to try it! Not only because I have a major sweet tooth, but because I LOVE Toll House chocolate chip cookies! When I tried my new Coffee-mate the next morning it instantly reminded me of all the times my mom and I would bake cookies together throughout my childhood.
 My mom is not one to use box mixes. She always cooked and baked from scratch. I think I inherited my sweet tooth from her because no matter how full we are from dinner, we always have room for dessert. One of my favorite things to do with my mom as a child was to bake chocolate chip cookies. There was something so special about getting all of the ingredients out and spending time in the kitchen together. A lot of the early years were more so me watching my mom make chocolate chip cookies and me trying to steal as much cookie dough as possible without her seeing. As I grew older, I took some more responsibility in our baking team and actually helped make the cookies (while still eating as much cookie dough as possible before they made it to the oven).
I love that this little splash of Coffee-mate in my morning cups of coffee can put a smile on my face before I head out the door to work. I plan on recreating this cherished memory with my mom in the next few weeks by surprising her and showing up at her house with all of the baking ingredients and Coffee-mate!
