I’m just gonna go ahead and let some of these photos speak for themselves…
Yes, that is a beautiful, rather large, edible flower-topped cocktail inside a copper pineapple. It MIGHT be one of the coolest and trendiest cocktails I have ever been served and it MIGHT be pretty darn delicious. What you are looking at is the “Chill Factor” and it is one of the most popular drinks at The Woolworth in downtown Dallas. Made of Absolut Elyx Vodka, St. Germain, lavender honey, hibsicus, white chamomile tea, and lime garnished with edible flowers and served in a copper pineapple cup, this is a cocktail that is meant to be shared.
The Woolworth (previously Stone Street Martini Lounge) is a historical building located right off Elm Street next to the famous “eyeball” sculpture and The Joule and above Campisis. They recently added a spacious patio to the building that is the only one of its kind in Dallas. With the downtown views and gorgeous weather we’re having, this is the ideal spot for happy hour.
As for happy hour they have some pretty amazing hours… Happy Hour at The Woolworth is offered Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-7pm and includes $1 off all bottled beers, $5 red and white wine by the glass, $5 calls, and $8 select craft cocktails like the Old Fashioned Vanilla, Ruby Fizz, That’s What She Said (makes me giggle every time…), Smoke and Spice, and the Mule Kick. The “Chill Factor” is not a part of happy hour but if you are there with a few friends it is totally worth the $26 for this fun, copper pineapple drink.
With catchy cocktails like “That’s What She Said” (a crowd favorite) and “The Godfather” created by bar mastermind Mike Hernandez, and freshly made appetizers like the Calamari Fries and Blue Crab Nachos, you will not regret spending your next evening out at The Woolworth.
You can shop this adorable copper pineapple cup above along with a few other copper pieces for your barware. Let me know if you make it out there and if you end up trying the copper pineapple drink, snap a photo and tag me in it! 🙂
