What to Wear to Work: 6 Outfit Ideas

Most of you know I have a full-time job in Corporate America outside of blogging. If I’m being completely honest, there are a lot of days where I don’t even feel like thinking about what I’m going to wear nonetheless trying to be cute (this has gotten progressively worse throughout the pregnancy!). I just want to wake up, throw some clothes on and go! In today’s post you’ll see six foolproof options of what to wear to work. Some are dressier than others, but they are all simple outfits to put together so you don’t have to put too much thought into getting ready for work.

6 outfit ideas what to wear to work

Everything you see in this post is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. So basically that means you can update your work wardrobe guilt-free. Technically we all need clothes for work so why not get them while they’re on major sale? Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about fit or sizing! I hope you like our outfits and get some ideas of what to wear to work!

Me – The Fashion Hour

I love this tie neck dress that I picked up last week. The tie neck blouse top and ruffled skirt is feminine and work appropriate. I would normally pair this with pointy toe pumps but I need a new pair (the heels were literally falling apart)! Instead I paired the floral print dress with a new pair of black mules that are currently on sale for under $50. They come in 3 colors and are so cute and comfortable! You can get the dress HERE and the mules HERE! Keep scrolling for my friends’ looks!

Amanda – The Miller Affect

How cute is the scallop hem on Amanda’s dress?! Just know Amanda is almost 6 feet tall so the dress might fall a little longer on you depending on your height. Perfect for work and comes in multiple colors!

Brooke – One Small Blonde

I love Brooke’s dress and actually meant to buy it for myself during all of the Nordstrom Sale madness. It is conservative while still being stylish with the cold shoulder detail and wrap cut. The color is perfect for fall!

Christina – Fashion & Frills

Christina’s pattern-mixed look is so fun and chic! If I wasn’t pregnant I would be going to buy these pants ASAP! Such a chic office look!

Lauren – A Lo Profile

Lauren works at a school so she can get away with wearing jeans to work. While she may be wearing jeans, her look is still very professional and that ruffle top is perfect for pairing with all sorts of skirts and dress pants!

Lynlee – Gal About Town

Lynlee is wearing the same top as Lauren in a different print (it comes in several colors!) and a classic pleated skirt. This skirt is a great staple to have in your closet as it can be mixed and matched with so many items and even dressed up with a crop top for outside of work!
Which look is your favorite?! Leave me a comment and let me know! Don’t forget you can head to my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale page with all of my favorite items from the sale and blog posts from the sale!
