Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend. I started writing a post about this lovely keyhole dress and new pair of earrings I bought recently and how perfect they both are for summer. The dress is on-trend and lightweight while the earrings are colorful, fun, and out of my comfort zone since I usually stick to these ear crawlers. After waking up this morning to the horrific and heartbreaking news of the mass shooting in Orlando, it just didn’t feel right talking about frivolous things like clothes and jewelry.

I cannot imagine the terror, panic, and confusion all of these people were overcome with in those moments and my heart breaks for all of the victims and their loved ones. Regardless of sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion; no human should have to experience or live in fear of horrific attacks like this one. No act of hate will ever be justified in the name of religion and I pray that not only as Americans but as human beings that we can come together to show that love will always prevail.

I promise to have a happier and more upbeat post up soon, but if you have the chance, please take a moment to honor the victims and their families, donate if you feel so inclined, and make an effort to exude light and love every day as it is the only thing that can drive out hate.
