Our Stay at Four Seasons Orlando

Happy Friday, friends! I’m still trying to get over this sinus infection but I’ve been dying to tell you all about our trip to Orlando and DISNEY WORLD! I am so glad we went and honestly cannot wait to go back again! I’ll be sharing everything about our day at Disney World along with a few tips for going there with a little one next week but today I want to focus on our stay at the Four Seasons Orlando!

Our Stay at Four Seasons Orlando

We could not have dreamed of a better place to stay and only wish we could have stayed here longer! It really did surpass all of my expectations and I was blown away with how amazing of a  place this is for kids. When I think about the Four Seasons I think luxury and first-class but not necessarily a place for kids. I was so wrong about the second part because the Four Seasons Orlando is DEFINITELY a place for kids while still getting that first-class, luxury experience for adults!

THE POOLS

I would honestly fly back to Orlando just to stay here because it’s pretty much a theme park in itself. They have three pools – one has a beach feel that overlooks a lagoon and has a giant screen that plays a movie a few nights a week, one is a lazy river and one is a splash pad with multiple shallow pools, fountains and even a few water slides! Mila had a BLAST at all of them and it was so nice feeling like we had so much to do in one place!

OUR ROOM

We checked into our room after our day at Disney World and we were POOPED! It was so nice being welcomed in to such a beautiful room and I especially loved that they had a little stuffed walrus in Mila’s crib (she of course called it a baby shark) and some baby toiletries for her! I didn’t even feel like I was in a hotel room while staying there. It just felt like a really luxurious master bedroom that I never wanted to leave!

WHAT WE DID

When we woke up the next morning we were still pretty wiped out so we headed straight for coffee and the pool. They have a nice little cafe where you can grab a latte and breakfast and even gelato and macarons! The pool starts serving food and drinks around 11:00 so we took our coffee and avocado toast and found ourselves a front row spot at the main pool. This pool was perfect for Mila because it doesn’t have steps and is like the beach where it gradually gets deeper. She had so much fun just sitting in two inch deep water and playing with cups which was great for me and Ita because we were still trying to recover from 11+ hours at Disney World! I loved the Pina colada margarita and Mila loved her grilled cheese and fruit! They also passed out fresh muffins which was just a nice little touch!

When you walk up the stairs by this pool there is a playground and several little areas where you can play life-size checkers, ping pong, foosball and corn hole! For kids 4 years and older they have a kids club that looked amazing. I saw several young kids in there and they looked like they were having a blast. On the other side is the splash pad which Mila also loved. She made a few friends and loved running around over there. I definitely recommend hopping on a tube and going through the lazy river. So relaxing and there’s even another area along the path that breaks off into another pool that has volleyball and basketball. I’m telling you… this place is a theme park in itself!

After a few hours at the pool we ordered some fish tacos and a poke bowl to go (SO GOOD!) and put Mila down for a nap. It can be hard vacationing around nap time but I feel like it’s really not too bad and worth it for your baby to get a quality nap in. It won’t always work out that way but a day like that where we were at the hotel we wanted to make sure she got a good nap in so she’d have energy to stay up a little later than usual that evening. Ita went to the gym and I got some work done while she napped which is always nice!

DINNER + FIREWORKS

That night we had dinner at their steakhouse on the 17th floor. The service was outstanding and the views from your table are incredible. Even if you don’t have dinner there I would at least have a cocktail or dessert just to enjoy the view! There are two balconies and you can see both the Magic Kingdom fireworks and Epcot! We sat down for dinner at 7:00 and stayed until 9:00 then headed to the balcony for fireworks at 9:15 (it’s honestly a miracle Mila was so good for that long… it’s not easy having a toddler at a dinner table!). The fireworks were amazing and Mila loved it. Some of the rooms at the Four Seasons Orlando have views of the fireworks as well! The fireworks are every night so you’re sure to see them at least once during your stay!

BREAKFAST WITH MICKEY

The next morning we set up a reservation to have breakfast with “Goofy and Friends”. It is a breakfast buffet where Goofy, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse walk around and spend time at each table. I highly recommend doing this if you have little ones! They spend so much time at your table and come by a few different times. They also randomly break out into song or get all of the tables involved in clapping or waving your napkins. It was really nice and Mila FREAKED when she saw Mickie (and this is coming from a little girl who barely watches any TV…). She did NOT like Goofy (I think he was maybe too tall and intimidating?) But immediately hugged Mickey and Minnie, kissed them on the nose, showed them her dress, tried to feed them her food… lol it was seriously the cutest thing ever and I will never forget it. At one point after she had met them she noticed Mickey was walking back towards our area of the restaurant and she goes, “Mickey Mouse! Mickey Mouse is coming! Here Mickey baby yogurt!!” And held out a spoonful of her yogurt lol. I was dying. I shared some videos on Instagram Stories but here are a few pictures from our morning… oh and for the adults there is bottomless bloody Mary’s and mimosas included and if you’re staying at the hotel they’ll even make you one to go!

As you can tell we LOVED our stay at the Four Seasons Orlando and can only hope we make it back there again soon. While this is a pricier place to stay, when you think about all of the amenities and entertainment there is for kids, I would definitely say it’s worth it! I would recommend spreading out your days at Disney World so you can really take advantage of full days at the resort and enjoy everything it has to offer. The service is outstanding and every inch is gorgeous!
