In a little less than 3 weeks, many of us will be enjoying a long weekend with loved ones celebrating the 4th of July! While quite a bit of that time may be spent doing the typical 4th of July activities like grilling by the pool and sitting on a blanket watching fireworks, it does not mean you have to show up wearing a typical outfit. I am all about denim cutoffs and a patriotic tee to show your American pride, but why not try something a little different this year for one of your 4th of July festivities? I partnered with Target to create four sophisticated 4th of July looks that are sure to elevate your holiday style. Three of the looks you see me wearing in today’s post are from the Who What Wear line at Target and range in price from only $19.99 to $34.99. From simple and all-American to dressier and modern, I hope you see something you love that inspires you to try something new with your outfit this Independence Day!

Incorporate denim differently this year with a high-waisted, curve-hugging pencil skirt, and pair it with this classic crewneck marled sweater. I love the look of knotting the ultra-thin sweater that not only highlights your waistline but adds a bit of edge to your style! I recommend adding a pop of white with this chain strap micro bag and wearing a bright red lip to tie everything together.
For a more light and feminine look, swap your sweater for this silky ruffle tank. You can show as much or as little of the fluttery layers as you want by tucking them into the skirt or knotting the tank in the back with a hair tie like I did! Add a fun clutch and straw hat for both style and sun protection (love this one!). This outfit really is the perfect all-American look for your backyard barbecue!
It’s close to impossible not to take part in some sort of pool party 4th of July weekend here in Texas so a cute swimsuit is a must. I love this figure-flattering Xhilaration striped bikini because it is festive in a subtle way and I know I can mix and match the top and bottom with other suits I own for the future. Just throw on a chic cover-up like this embroidered one with tassels and a pair of slides and you are pool party ready!

Just because it is the 4th of July does not mean you have to wear red, white and blue. I put this dressier, neutral outfit together for those of you who may be attending a bit fancier occasion to celebrate the 4th. The cream belted vest paired with these khaki smocked shorts is a modern girl’s dream come true. The matching lace illusion tank adds just the right amount of elegance for this sophisticated casual look.
How do you plan on adding a chic twist to create your sophisticated 4th of July look this year? Leave me a comment to let me know which of these outfits is your favorite, and be sure to head to Target’s website to get your Who What Wear pieces in time for the holiday weekend! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
